Welcome on the Nevada2 page!

Nevada2 is a high-end EN B 3-row glider. It has only two A lines on each side using our well proven Gradient DD system with only 62 line attachment points. This way has been achieved the lowest possible number of lines and minimised total line consumption. By a progressive diameter reduction of the unsheathed upper gallery lines and by reduced binding of the brake lines the total area of lines and their aerodynamic drag has been drastically reduced.

For an even transfer of forces from the lines to the wing Gradient used Gibus Arch reinforcements. The nylon rods in the C diagonals help to tension the trailing edge evenly. The leading edge is also smoothed out by nylon inserts that are easy to replace if needed.

To achieve a good pressurization in the whole range of angles of attacks Gradient has developed a new style of cell openings called the VO system with "V" shape intakes. There is more to the simple triangular shapes than meets the eye and this system is higly efficient.

This type of openings funcions well over the whole speed range. It ensures fast inflation of the canopy from the centre towards the wingtips. This makes launching and potential collapse recovery quick and easy. It also limits the spill from the inner cavity of the canopy to the top surface. VO system gives Nevada2 the ability to keep climb rate and forward speed during flight in thermic and turbulent air.

High durability of the canopy and dimensional stability of the leading edge is achieved by the use of Skytex Everlast fabric - material developed for Gradient by Porcher Marine. The extra stiffness also assists with fast inflation.

Ball bearing pulleys on the speed system, thin webbing on risers, high quality fabric and lines and exceptional manufacturing accuracy are the components of the highest standards you can traditionally expect from Gradient products. Nevada2 retails in Australia for $3,850 and it will not disappoint you.
